Massachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council

The 2005 Independent Living Conference of Massachusetts sponsored by the Statewide Independent Living Council and funded by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission titled The Future Is Now! scheduled for September 19-21, 2005 and to be held at theBest Western Royal Plaza Hotel, 181 Boston Post Road West, Marlborough, MA 01752. This is a great opportunity to share, learn from each other and hear about successful advocacy tools and practices being used in Massachusetts and in other states.

The agenda for the conference is still being developed. A dynamic SILC Conference Planning Committee has been organizing the agenda for this three-day conference with invitations to national IL advocacy speakers, key Commonwealth of Massachusetts leaders, and a variety of IL advocacy and system change professionals. The speakers and workshop leaders will provide first hand knowledge and experience to assist us to be more effective in our statewide IL advocacy network. The conference will conclude with the annual meeting of the SILC & election of officers for ’06.
